About This Program

When a family loses a loved one, the last thing they should worry about is money. Yet for many in our community, the cost of an Islamic burial, which can easily run into thousands of dollars, becomes an immediate and painful burden at the worst possible time.

Our Janazah Assistance Program was started because we believe that every Muslim deserves a dignified burial, full stop. No family should have to delay burying their loved one, take out loans, or compromise on the rites of Islam because they cannot afford it.

We provide free or subsidized Janazah services to needy Muslims across New Jersey, and we take complete ownership of the process from the moment you call us to the moment of burial. Our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, because grief does not keep business hours.

What We Handle

When you contact us, we take over completely. Families should not have to navigate logistics in their most difficult moments. We coordinate everything:

• Ghusl (ritual washing) according to Islamic guidelines
• Kafan (shrouding) preparation
• Coordination of Janazah Salah with local Imams
• Transportation and cemetery arrangements
• Support and guidance for the grieving family throughout the entire process
• Free or subsidized service based on family need (eligibility is verified)

Who We Help

We serve any Muslim family in New Jersey that is in genuine financial need. This includes families of converts, those who are newly arrived, elderly individuals with no close family, and anyone else who has no one to turn to in this moment.

In one instance, we also extended our help to a non-Muslim family who had no other means of support. We believe that compassion has no boundaries, and that serving our neighbors, regardless of faith, reflects the character Islam calls us to.
