About This Program
Wearing new clothes on Eid is a Sunnah of our Prophet, peace be upon him. It is part of how we honor the day, express gratitude to Allah(SWT), and participate in the joy of the occasion. But for many families, purchasing new clothing for every household member before Eid-Al-Fitr is simply not possible.
Our Eid Clothing Drive was started to make sure that financial hardship does not stand between a family and this beautiful Sunnah. Each year, before Eid-Al-Fitr, we distribute brand new clothing to Zakat-eligible Muslim families and refugees across New Jersey.
We cover every member of the household, regardless of gender, age, or size. Father, mother, teenagers, young children, infants. Nobody in the family is left out.
What We Provide
- Brand new clothing, no used or second hand items
- Men and boys: new clothing appropriate for Eid
- Women and girls: new clothing appropriate for Eid
- Infants and toddlers: included without exception
- All sizes accommodated
- Based on availability, we also distribute imitation jewelery and accessories
How You Can Help
You can donate brand new, unworn clothing with tags still on, or make a financial contribution and we will purchase clothing on behalf of families. Please contact us early, we collect ahead of Eid to ensure every family can receive their new clothing before Eid.
