About This Program
Moving into a new home with nothing in it is harder than most people realize. No bed to sleep on. No table to eat at. No appliances to cook with. For refugees arriving in New Jersey with only what they could carry, and for low-income families starting over after hardship, an empty apartment can feel overwhelming.
Our Furniture and Household Items Program collects gently used furniture, small appliances, and household essentials from donors and places them directly into the homes of families who need them. The items do not have to be new. They just need to be clean, functional, and in good condition.
What We Accept and Distribute
Furniture:
- Beds and bed frames, sofas and chairs
- Dining tables and chairs, dressers and wardrobes
- Desks and shelving
Small Appliances and Household Items:
- Microwaves, toasters, kettles, and blenders
- Fans, heaters, and lamps
- Cookware, dishes, and kitchen utensils
- Bedding, pillows, towels, and rugs
Donate or Request Items
If you have items in good condition that you no longer need, please do not throw them away. Someone in our community needs exactly what you have. Contact us to arrange pickup or drop-off.
