The Sabr Program

Women Empowerment and Self-Reliance Initiative

And whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him. (Quran 65:3)

About This Program

The Sabr Program was created for Muslim women in New Jersey who are navigating some of the hardest seasons of their lives. Widows who have lost their husbands and their household's income at the same time. Divorced sisters who are starting over, often with children to raise and limited support. Battered women who are doing everything alone.

We named this program Sabr because that is what these women are practicing every single day. And it is what we are here to stand alongside.

Our goal is not simply to provide temporary relief. It is to help each sister build a stable, independent life for herself and her family. We work with them, not just for them.
